Well due to the stress I am under (Justasic) with the recent group merge, the stress of development between Navn and ANT, network renaming, school, parents, grades, people, etc.  I have become more and more stressed and upset over small things. Last week I recently banned about 7-8 people due to griefing because I made a mistake of allowing people to ask me to teleport them around.
Today, someone joined our server (a normal user) and saw that it was changed due to the new network rename a merge, then called the change “pointless” when it is really a big and development for the network. I expect that with the merge we will get a new site and a new logo and make things quite a bit more seamless than before.

Due to the nature of Minecraft and because its in Java, it is one of the only services that requires a huge chunk of our time to manage. Between users griefing/stealing, people wanting to create huge things, factions, updates and other stuff, the server is takes up about a day just to manage. Currently I have too much stress to be able to competently run the server without driving everyone out of it, so because of this, the server has been shutdown until some of the stress and big changes come around, we will use this time to also regenerate the minecraft map (but still keeping the old one) and update for 1.2.3 when the server goes back online again.

When the server comes back online, due to issues in the past, NO ONE but the ADMINS gets any kind of elevated privileges. This includes creative mode, infinite blocks, flying, etc. (please see the wiki page for our minecraft server) Admins will be the only ones who have the ability to fly and have special privileges. There’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it. This is purely because in the last map and versions, anyone who has these special abilities except the admins end up abusing them or disrespecting the admins of a FREE SERVICE.

People marked “Mod” or “Moderator” have the ability to possibly bypass certain doors, use BigBrother, remove other peoples blocks they deem as bad, and kick/ban players. If you have any issues with admin behavior, please connect to IRC and join #Computers and ask for a Minecraft Admin to review the behavior of the moderator.
